Introduction

Compounder (“we”, “us”, “our” or “Developer”) is a compound interest calculator. It is built so that your financial information stays on your own device: there are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we do not run any server that receives the numbers you enter. This policy explains what the app keeps on the device, the one third-party service involved in purchases (RevenueCat), and the rights you have.

It applies to the Compounder app for iPhone (the “Application”).

1. Information the Application Keeps on the Device

All of the following is stored only on the device where Compounder is installed, inside the app’s sandbox. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

Your inputs: starting amounts, monthly deposits, returns, compounding and deposit timing, time periods, withdrawals, inflation and deposit-increase rates. They are used only to calculate and show results.
Saved scenarios (Compounder Pro): plans you choose to save, with every input as you left them, so you can reopen them later.
Settings: the chosen app language, currency and appearance, and a cached “Compounder Pro unlocked” flag so paid features keep working offline.

Exported files: when you export a CSV table or a PDF report, the file goes where you send it through the iOS share sheet (for example Files, Mail or Messages). From then on it is under your control, not the Application’s, and we have no access to it.

Device backups: if iCloud Backup or a computer backup is turned on for the device, iOS may include the app’s data in that backup. This is controlled by the device settings, not by us.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

No user accounts, email addresses, phone numbers, photos, contacts, location or microphone input.
No bank, brokerage or other financial account connections.
No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites.
No analytics, usage statistics or crash reporting services in the app.
No server of ours receives your inputs, results, scenarios or anything else.

3. Purchases (RevenueCat)

Compounder offers an optional upgrade, Compounder Pro, as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are made through Apple’s App Store with your Apple Account.

To check whether Compounder Pro is unlocked, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), a purchase-verification service. The RevenueCat software in the app:

assigns a random, anonymous app user ID (not linked to your name or to any account of ours);
processes the App Store purchase and transaction information needed to confirm the entitlement;
receives no name, email address or financial input from Compounder.

RevenueCat handles this information under its own Privacy Policy. Apple handles payments under the Apple Media Services terms and Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive your payment details.

4. How Information Is Used

The information above is used only to run the calculators on the device, to reopen your saved scenarios, to show the app in your language, currency and appearance, and to unlock Compounder Pro after a purchase.

We do not sell, rent, share or trade any information. The only party outside the device involved in using Compounder is RevenueCat (and Apple) for purchases, as described in Section 3. We would disclose information only if required by law, and we hold no copy of your data to disclose.

6. Children’s Privacy

Compounder is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child’s information has reached us, contact us (Section 10) and we will delete it.

7. Data Retention

Everything in Section 1 stays on the device until you delete it: remove a saved scenario in the app, or delete the app, which removes all of its data. If you wish, remove it from any device backup too. RevenueCat and Apple keep purchase records under their own retention policies, so that purchases can be restored.

8. Security

The app’s data is protected by the device’s app sandbox and data protection. No technology is risk-free: please keep your device protected with a passcode and your Apple Account secure.

9. Your Rights

EU and EEA (GDPR): you have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Because we process no personal data ourselves, these rights mostly concern the data on your device (which you control directly) and RevenueCat’s purchase records. The purchase check is based on our legitimate interest in unlocking the features you paid for. You may also complain to a data protection authority; the Developer is based in Poland, so the lead authority is the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO), uodo.gov.pl.
California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know and to delete. We do not sell or share personal information.
